Krrish is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language superhero film directed by H. S. Bhagyaraj, which tells the story of an ordinary man who develops superpowers to fight crime. The film stars Hrithik Roshan as the protagonist, with Aishwarya Rai playing his love interest during later parts of his life. The film opened to positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success, grossing ₹1.04 billion (US$15 million) at the box-office in India and ₹6 billion worldwide. It is also the eighth highest-grossing film in India of 2006, the third-highest-grossing film of Hrithik Roshan, and the fourth Hindi film to gross over 1 billion worldwide. The film was a remake of a Malayalam movie "Vazhve Mayam" (1993) directed by Sibi Malayil. At age 14, Rohit Mehra (Hrithik Roshan) lives with his parents, Mayank and Nandini (Puneet Issar and Sonali Kulkarni), in Mumbai. He is a normal boy who likes playing cricket, solving puzzles and has a crush on Priya Sharma (Gracy Singh). He is also a brilliant student with a good academic record. When he visits Priya Sharma’s home, both she and her father, Mr. Sharma (Kiran Kumar), invite him to attend their wedding. During the trip to Hyderabad, Rohit's parents argue and separate. On the train, his mother passes away and he collapses in front of his sister and the rest of the family; only Nandini survives because she had left before the accident. The distraught Rohit refuses to live with his dad as he has no memory of his mother's death or even that she existed, then runs away from home along with Nandini. Rohit's father, on the other hand, gives up his career as a scientist to become a teacher in Rohit's school. He lives in the school compound on the ground floor, and Rohit on the first floor, of the building. Rohit also meets his uncle (played by Rishi Kapoor) who is running an orphanage. Raman Kumar (Bharat Kapoor), who has amnesia (he wanders around campus during class hours looking for his home), arrives at his school, asking for directions to Mayank's house. Mayank (Puneet Issar) is shocked to see the man he had lost contact with after his first marriage; meanwhile, Raman Kumar begins to lead a new life with Mayank. Police Inspector Rajkumar (Avinash Wadhavan) suspects that Mayank is involved in some illegal deals after finding some documents on him, and starts to follow him everywhere. He finally is able to find out the truth about Raman Kumar who kidnaps Nandini, bringing her back home. It is revealed that Raman Kumar was driving the car in which Nandini's mother had died when she was four years old, but he has no memory of this incident. Later on they start living together. cfa1e77820
